Earlier this year I was named a VMware vExpert! I’m very excited and honored to be named a vExpert. For those of you who don’t know, vExpert is VMware’s evangelist program and semi-annually people may submit their application to be named a vExpert.
There are several different vExpert sub-programs, in addition to the vExpert. There are vExpert NSX that focuses on VMware’s Network Vritualization technology, and vExpert vSAN.
For each program there are three different paths:
Evangelist Path – bloggers, authors, tools builders, public speakers, if you contribute significantly to the VMware Community, or somehow share you enthusiasm, support and knowledge of VMware with the world, this path is for you.
Customer Path – If you’re a VMware customer that that is a VMware Leader within your organization, or act as a customer reference for VMware technologies, give public interviews, or are a VMUG Leader then this path is for you.
VMware Partner Network Path – (VPN) This path is specific to employees of VMware Partner Companies.
